Yep, Sandhill Crane babies are called Colts. They are cute, they are always up to something, and they are ALWAYS hungry. The parents will walk with them everywhere for the next ten weeks or so. Sandhill Colts are able to walk and swim within about eight hours of hatching. The parents have to remember that the Colts can not fly, so they are grounded too.
