116 Barred Owlet

All birds grow very quickly. Owls, at a few months old, are the size of adults and ar fully feathered and have their talons. They still have to learn to fly and hunt with grace and purpose. This spring at Circle B Bar Reserve, there were nesting Great Horned Owls, Barred Owls and red shouldered Hawks. Even at Circle B this is a huge demand on the available food supply and these nests were all within about 100 yards or each other.
